I always enjoy sharing information about useful resources that will definitely help improve your game and should be a part of any BJJ athletes collection.
That's why I want to go over what this 3 DVD set covers.
The first DVD begins with a monologue
by Roy Dean that encompasses what it means to have a black belt in
BJJ. This is one of the most articulate and eloquent speeches
concerning BJJ that I have ever heard.
From there Roy presents a series of
advanced techniques and strategies for controlling, setting up and
submitting your opponents.
The second disk in the set begins with
a detailed analysis of Roy Rolling with his students. The insight
gained from this play by play of the mat work is immensely valuable
and presents a wealth of knowledge sure to help improve your game.
The second disk ends off with a White
through Black belt perspective of the Kimura. It begins looking at
how a white belt sees the Kimura and transitions through the belt
ranks to the Kimura through the eyes of a Black belt. Same submission
yet very different perspectives and possibilities at each belt
level.
The third disk is truly a phenomenal
bonus as it presents a Judo Made Easy seminar conducted by Dave
Camarillo, Judo and BJJ Black Belt and founder of Guerilla Jiujitsu.
This seminar covers the basics of Judo
as they will help your BJJ game. The lessons taught by Dave Camarillo
demonstrate a high level understanding of Judo but present it as
simply as possible so that the lessons can be comprehended quickly
and easily.
The back cover of the DVD concludes
it's description of the material with, “Black Belt Requirements is
for everyone who dreams of becoming a black belt and sharing the
art.”
I couldn't agree more. This is required
material for everyone practicing BJJ regardless of their current
level. I highly recommend you pick up this DVD set along with all the
other belt level requirements by Roy Dean.
